I formed the Young Photographers Initiative (aka YPI KIDS) in 2006. While I thoroughly enjoy photography, my love of kids was the primary motivating factor. It has been a journey filled with more surprises and rewards than I ever imagined. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I have.



YPI KIDS sponsors therapeutic photographic projects for children between the ages of 10 and 18 who are either "at-risk", are being treated for cancer or a serious illness. They are designed to expose them to the magic of photography and the ability one has to capture his/her feelings, aspirations and dreams in an image as well as the sense of empowerment and self-esteem that comes from creating such images.
