WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO DO THIS PROJECT? Because I thought it would be fun!

WHAT ONE WORD DESCRIBES YOU BEST. Smart.

IF YOU WERE AN ANIMAL, WHAT WOULD YOU BE? A cat or a dog.

IF YOUR PARENT WERE AN ANIMAL, WHAT WOULD HE/SHE BE? A cat.

IF YOU WERE MAROONED ON AN ISLAND, WHAT THREE THINGS WOULD YOU WANT TO HAVE WITH YOU? A friend, my phone and music

WHAT IS THE ONE THING THAT PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO FIND OUT ABOUT YOU? I had surgery when I was little.

WHAT IS MOST "SPECIAL" TO YOU ABOUT YOUR PARENT? My mom has been my cheeering coach since I was in second grade and she has been so much help like rides, practices and competitions.

IN WHAT WAY HAS HAVING A PARENT WITH CANCER CHANGED YOUR LIFE? It has made everything harder because we always have to find rides for me to practice and it is harder to get groceries and go do other stuff like that.

DESCRIBE SOMETHING THAT YOU LEARNED ABOUT YOUR CHILD WHILE YOUR PORTRAIT WAS BEING TAKEN AND WHAT IT MEANT TO YOU TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED BY HIM/HER.
I learned that she has a great sense of humor and although she has a larger than life personality, she was shy in front of and behind the camera. I am so excited and anxious to see the images because each image was carefully chosen and shot at the exact time she chose. I will be so proud to see how she reacts to her work.

WHAT IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT LEARNING EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE SHARED WITH YOUR CHILD SINCE BEING DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER?
Honesty and openness are most important. I never hid anything from her about my illness. She was always free to talk to her friends and teachers about it. We would joke about my wig. I never wanted the illness to be all consuming or a taboo subject.
